Medanta Lung Transplant is the only program in the country where lung transplant services are offered by a team which has been doing cutting edge thoracic surgery for over 30 years. Lung transplantation is a life-saving procedure for patients who have reached end stage lung disease due to various reasons like interstitial lung disease, COPD, infectious diseases, pulmonary arterial hypertension, or a host of other diseases. When you see such a patient in your clinic and you think of a possibility of lung transplant, a lot of questions come to your mind before you decide to refer this patient to a transplant center.
