1st Advance VATS Training Program by Centre for Chest Surgery, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi & Lung Care Foundation


We are delighted to announce the first Advance VATS Training Program, being conducted by the Centre for Chest Surgery & Lung Transplantation, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi & Lung Care Foundation at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education, New Delhi on 7th and 8th June, 2014 (Saturday & Sunday).

This unique, first of its kind course will consist of two days (7 am to 7 pm) of face-to-face sessions on all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic VATS, Live Surgery demonstration and hands-on experience on Live Animal Model. The program is being conducted by the team which has the largest experience in VATS in the country.

Objectives of the course

At the completion of this program the participants will be able to:

  • Describe patient selection criteria for thoracoscopic procedures
  • Understand the advantages and outcomes associated with thoracoscopic procedures
  • Understand basic thoracoscopic instrumentation and surgical techniques
  • Know about various basic and advance VATS procedures
  • Perform basic VATS procedure on Animal Model.
